Install-day checklist

A one-page checklist your install crew can run on every countertop install — from truck loading to customer sign-off.

Tip: use Ctrl/Cmd + P to print or save as PDF.

Before leaving the shop

  • All pieces pulled for the job — verify counts against the layout
  • Slabs / pieces match the approved material and lot
  • Sink, cooktop, faucet, and hardware on the truck
  • Seam kit, epoxy, anchors, shims, silicone, and color-matched caulk
  • Tools charged: saws, polishers, vacuums, levels, laser
  • Job folder / digital layout open on the shop tablet
  • Confirmed install window with the customer today

On arrival

  • Walk the job with the customer — confirm scope is unchanged
  • Verify cabinet level, plumb, and structurally sound
  • Check appliances on site match the cutout specs
  • Confirm water and power are disconnected where needed
  • Photograph existing conditions before anything moves
  • Clear the path: floors protected, doorways padded

Install

  • Dry-fit every piece before any seams or glue
  • Verify overhangs, reveals, and overhang support brackets
  • Check sink and cooktop cutouts against the fixtures in place
  • Confirm splash heights and scribe to walls
  • Seam: clean, align, color-match, clamp, and profile
  • Level across every run — shims as needed
  • Undermount sinks: support, clip, and seal per spec

Cleanup and walkthrough

  • Full wipe-down of all tops and splash
  • Remove tape, shims, film, and all trash — leave nothing behind
  • Demonstrate care basics to the customer
  • Customer walks every counter, seam, and edge
  • Punch list captured on the spot, with photos
  • Customer sign-off — signature or photo of approval
  • Install photos uploaded to the job for the shop record

Running installs from a shared plan means the shop, the field, and the customer all see the same status. See how Lithiq OS handles scheduling and install checklists — or grab the field measure sheet for the templating side.
